Park started off very positively but scuppered a few chances in front of goal. Lynn Whittingstall played a blinder at left wing and caused the defenders no end of problems with her constant running and tackling. The breakthrough came when some good work down the left saw Lynn pick up the ball and drive into the ‘d’. Her shot on goal trickled in under the advancing keeper. Park quickly added their second when a shot on goal took a deflection from the ever present Lynn Whittingstall. These two goals settled Park and they continued to add pressure. Justine Howe and Vicky Le Fanu linked up well on the right and provided some good crosses into the ‘d’. Park added their third goal when a shot was well saved by the keeper only for Denise Manning to pounce and lift the ball over the stranded keeper. Emma Tuckwell ran tirelessly in midfield supported by the defence of Kirsty Marshall, Mercedes Buckle, Mel Rodwell and Jessica Wright. Denise Manning added her second when again the keeper saved well only for Denise to get to the stray ball and her shot was placed away from the keeper and into the goal. The home side did manage to push up the pitch but they just could not break down the solid Park defence. Park closed the scoring for the first half with a well worked penalty corner with Denise Manning sweeping the ball into the goal through a crowded ‘d’.

In the second half Park kept up the pressure and Lynn Whittingstall opened the scoring when her solo run into the ‘d’ saw her finish with a cracking shot which thundered in past the keeper – certainly a contender for goal of the season. She quickly added another when her persistence in front of goal paid off and she again found the back of the net. Vicky Le Fanu then added her name to the goal sheet when some good stick work from her frustrated the defence and she slotted home. Emma Tuckwell was unlucky not to add her name to the scoresheet when her shot was saved by the keeper. The next goal came from a short corner when a shot by Mel Rodwell was deflected in by Lynn Whittingstall. Vicky Le Fanu then got her second when a goal mouth scramble was tapped over by Vicky on the right hand post. Park finished the scoring when a cross from the left received the slightest of touches from Justine Howe to guide the ball in past the keeper. Sudbury did score a consolation goal when they caught Park on the break and the striker slotted the ball under the feet of Karen Fletcher.
