Sudbury Ladies IV 0 v Carlton Park II 3

A late afternoon game was unusual and pressure was on to get going to ensure people could get back in time to watch Strictly Come Dancing! Park started well and dominated the game and had a number of chances to score although a few near misses and some great saves from the Sudbury goalie meant that few of these chances were converted. Despite continued pressure and good team work moving the ball around well, it was not our day for scoring goals and the final 3 – 0 score line does not reflect the chances we had and pressure Sudbury were put under. Jess cleared the ball well from the back finding space on the wings however Sudbury’s experienced defence often stalled the attack.

Overall it was a frustrating game where we knew we could have had a very different score on another day but none the less it was another good win.
